The Lundaspex gives: Bonifacius!

The Lundaspex gives: Bonifacius!

As morning dawns in 1300th century Rome, the nocturnal sins committed by monks and nuns are revealed. The time of indulgences is now and Pope Boniface is the last to oppose this as he enjoys the fruits of stay life. What he doesn't know is that his penchant for indulgences could cost him dearly. The fall of the Pope is exactly what cold-hearted Cardinal Lotharingo is waiting for. He is as pretentious as the devil himself and has big plans to claim the papal throne.

At the same time, the Pope's goddaughter Francesca has fallen in love with the literary lute player Giovanni, but on their way they also encounter obstacles. The story takes us from the piety of heaven to the sinful rites of the dark monastery cellars. The intrigue reaches its climax when a free-spirited Frenchman turns up the drama and turns everything upside down.
