The story of Texas Longhorn begins with Philip, our founder, who moved from San Antonio, Texas, to Sweden. After a while, he started missing his hometown – a lot. He longed for the smoke of the grill, the spicy slow cookers and a place where people could gather to relax, laugh and enjoy some really good Texas barbecue. Using his family recipes, he opened his first restaurant on St. Paulsgatan in Stockholm in 1994 – a place that reminded him of everything he had left behind. For himself, and for anyone who wanted to feel at home in Texas.
Today we have opened over 35 restaurants, and Philip can say that he has almost managed to cure his homesickness.
