The culture in Lund

Open-air museum – cultural historical houses The cultural historical houses with interiors and gardens in Kulturens open-air museum can be found in both the southern and northern areas. Here you can get an idea of how people have lived in southern Sweden during different times and in different social environments. In addition to the houses with interiors, there are several other buildings that contribute to the overall environment. They serve as exhibition spaces and workplaces for Kulturens staff. Some of the buildings are located in their original location, while others have been moved here since the museum opened in 1892.

Exhibitions
We have a wide range of exhibitions, with over a dozen permanent exhibitions, supplemented by several temporary exhibitions each year. Please prepare your visit by checking out the current exhibitions on our exhibitions page. There you can also read more about the exhibitions, and in some cases there are links to additional material.
