Lund Cathedral

Lund Cathedral is the most important Romanesque cathedral in the Nordic countries, built of sandstone. It is also Sweden's most visited church. The cathedral is an obvious landmark in the city, a meeting place for people and a place for people to meet God.

The 900-year-old church offers visitors a unique journey through time and space. It has not always looked the way it does now, but has been rebuilt and added to over the centuries. The 55-meter-high towers, the Lunnapågarna, have always been a landmark for Lund. The most famous sights in the Cathedral are the Astronomical Clock from the 1400th century and the giant Finn in the crypt.

The cathedral offers free tours for individuals. Groups, companies and organizations can book customized tours for a fee. There are also free guided programs for preschools, schools, high schools, parishes and confirmation groups.

Music is an obvious part of Lund Cathedral. Several well-known choirs participate in the services and we offer a wide range of concerts, from organ concerts every Saturday to oratorios.
In the cathedral, which is the cathedral of the Diocese of Lund and home to the Cathedral Congregation, services are celebrated daily.
Lund Cathedral is open every day.
