Workshop: Vintage Styling

Welcome to a workshop with Maria Pihlblad Kildetoft. It takes its starting point from the exhibition 2 twenties, and the avant-garde ideas in fashion, among other things, which created a strong image that we still recognize and embrace today.

The workshop begins with a short inspirational talk about 1900th century fashion, followed by live vintage styling by up to two (volunteer) women selected from the audience. We then conclude with a joint question and answer session, plus discussion in the group.

In addition to a review of 1900th-century fashion, the inspirational lecture also includes examples of contemporary women who have found their personal style by dressing in clothes from the last century.

During the styling, Maria uses clothes and accessories from her collection (sizes 36 to 42) as a starting point and explains step by step how she makes her choices. During the final question and answer session, you will have the opportunity to bring up anything you have wondered about and discuss it with Maria and the rest of the group. Hopefully, you will discover along the way that choosing second-hand first is a more fun, more personal and also more sustainable way of shopping.

NOTE: This workshop focuses on clothing & accessories, not hair & makeup. However, there will be photo examples of hair & makeup shown and it will be included as a discussion topic.

Drinks and snacks will be served during the workshop and all participants will also receive a goodie bag to take home from Kulturens butik!

Other:
During the day, a mini-vintage market will also be held in the Garden Room next to the shop. There will also be the opportunity to buy from Maria's collection.

Time: 3 hours, maximum number of participants 30. Ticket price: 480 SEK.
