Screening of "It's slow to be here - about Vipeholm Hospital" at the Museum of Life
During the exhibition we tell about life at the Vipeholm “insane asylum”, best known for the caries experiments that were carried out on the inmates around 1950. We try to get close to some of the patients who spent their lives within the walls of the hospital. The exhibition and the exhibition also tell about why this type of institution opened and how the view of people with intellectual disabilities has changed over the past 100 years.
