89% of the world's population wants their governments to do more to combat climate change. This is shown by a global study from 2024, published in the journal Nature*). This autumn there are elections. Together we manifest our demand on Sweden's decision-makers. We want to see a climate policy worth the name. The silent march symbolizes the “silent majority” who want change, but who politicians have not yet listened to enough.
Eight Fridays until the election we will gather at Clemenstorget at 17 pm. We will then walk in silence to Stortorget under the slogan We are 89%. Lunds Naturskyddsförening, Rebellmammorna, Fridays for Future and several other organizations are behind the hikes. All Lunda residents, companies and organizations are welcome.
Gather at Clemenstorget on the specified dates at 5 pm. March off at 5:15 pm with the goal at Stortorget. Please bring a sign with the message. We are 89% or your association's flag, if you belong to one. Note: No party flags or banners.
March days: April 10 and 24, May 8 and 22, June 5, August 14 and 28, September 11. Police permit available.
