Timbuktu & Damn! Everyone wants to go to heaven but no one wants to die 20 years

The concerts are not only a celebration of an album that defined a genre and shaped a generation – but also an emotional return to the place where it all began. For Timbuktu, the Dairy has always been more than just a stage. It was where he had some of his first live music experiences, where he played his very first solo gig in 1992 as part of the group Shorter Than Average, and where he rehearsed with Chords and DAMN! during his early years. The Dairy was the given start or end of every tour.

“Me and DAMN! haven't played together in three years, we've never played the entire AVTHMIVD in its entirety before and we've never been as old as we are now. In other words, this sets the stage for a couple of fantastic evenings where we'll also invite friends to brighten up the vibe atmosphere with us.” – Jason 'Timbuktu' Diakité

"Alla vill till himmelen men ingen vill dö", released in February 2005, came about during a tumultuous period in Timbuktu's life – and quickly became a milestone in Swedish music. With its unique blend of hip-hop, funk, soul and afrobeat, the album set a new standard for the genre. It has been praised by critics, loved by fans and awarded with two Grammys, among other awards – and two decades later, its imprint is still felt just as strongly.

Now the anniversary year ends where everything once began – in Lund. Together with DAMN! Timbuktu invites you to a vibrant finale: two evenings filled with music, memories and magic, on the stage that has always been their musical center. With a different feeling, but the same heart, the celebration here takes on a new expression.

After the gig there will be DJs and clubbing until 03.00am – admission is included in the ticket – so don't miss this year's party at Mejeriet! Tickets go on sale Wednesday 17 Sep at 10.00am!
