In 2026, the long history of the Academic Orchestra will be expressed in various ways within the university's activities. In addition to concerts from the orchestra's sheet music collection, which is now in the University Library, and extensive coverage in the University Historical Society's yearbook 2026, the orchestra's instrument rarities from the 1600th and 1700th centuries will be exhibited at the Historical Museum.
To create an overview and perspective, Odeum is bringing together a panel of music scholars and historians to spend an evening talking with the current director musices, the 14th in the order. Welcome to a conversation that spans 281 years of Lund's music history!
