The Tallest Man On Earth

The Tallest Man On Earth presents six concerts on Swedish soil in 2026 – at Mejeriet on May 14!

There are artists who need grand arrangements and lavish productions to fill a room. Kristian Matsson is not one of them. The vibrant, energetic presence, the raw, grainy voice and the ferocious but precise guitar playing are and remain the core of his artistry.

On the first two, now iconic albums “The Wild Hunt” and “Shallow Grave”, these elements are at the center – and it was more than enough to transform the singer from Leksand into one of the most beloved and respected voices in indie music. A lot has happened since then. As new albums were released, Matsson began to add small layers of instrumentation, a development that can be clearly heard on the dreamily melancholic “Dark Bird Is Home” from 2015, where he collaborates with Mike Noyce from Bon Iver, among others.

But it is not until his latest album, “Henry St.” from 2023, that he records with a full band for the first time. And while a few puritans are happy to revive the story of Dylan’s “betrayal” when he started playing electric, anyone who really listens will hear that the music still revolves around the same things that have always carried him: the weightless melodies, the elusive but affecting lyrics, the untamed guitar playing and a voice that manages to sound both timeless and absolutely present.

And it is in the live format that these qualities reach their full potential. When Matsson moves restlessly across the stage, almost as if the music is boiling over inside him, something that is best described as magic occurs.

During the spring of 2026, The Tallest Man On Earth will present six concerts in Sweden, from Skellefteå in the north to Lund in the south. Hang on tight when tickets go on sale Friday, December 5 at 10:00.
