Tennessee Tears – “Ashes & Embers” – New album and tour 2026
The Swedish country duo Tennessee Tears (Tilda Feuk and Jonas Hermansson) was formed in 2014. The group started with a songwriting collaboration with Billy Burnette (Fleetwood Mac) in Nashville, Tennessee. In the following years, Jonas Hermansson and Tilda Feuk traveled back there several times to both write and record music. Tennessee Tears then debuted in Melodifestivalen 2023 with "Now I Know".
Tennessee Tears kicks off 2026 with the release of their new single “Promised Land” on January 16th – a grand and emotional taster of what’s to come later this spring. In March, the duo will follow up the single with the highly anticipated album “Ashes & Embers” and embark on a tour of the same name. There will be four shows around the country, starting on April 16th.
Recorded and mixed in the heart of country music, Nashville, the album “Ashes & Embers” was produced by Tennessee Tears themselves together with André Kristiansson and captures the raw, honest energy that has become their signature – where modern Nashville influences meet Nordic storytelling.
With the single “Promised Land” and the subsequent album “Ashes & Embers”, Tennessee Tears takes another step towards solidifying their position as one of Scandinavia's most interesting country bands – with their heart in Nashville and their feet firmly rooted in Swedish soil.
– For us, this album is a rebirth, hence the name “Ashes & Embers”. We feel like we dare to explore new things but at the same time have found our roots, where we once started. The album is exactly what we want our music to be – a journey that captures the essence of modern Nashville country with a Nordic twist.
