Join us for a themed exhibition where the hope for a world at peace is in focus. Ahead of UN Day on October 26, we will delve into works from the Skissernas Museum's collection that are connected to the art that adorns and has adorned the UN headquarters in New York. The art that has been donated to the UN scraper by its member states is a unique collection that symbolizes the United Nations' vision of a world at peace. During the exhibition, you will experience a selection from the Skissernas Museum's collections, which include sketches and proposals for the large draperies in the ECOSOC hall, as well as the very first model for Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd's iconic sculpture Non Violence.
The exhibition is part of a series of themed exhibitions where we highlight works from the Skissernas Museum's collection to talk about the ideas, processes and contexts behind them. Each exhibition opens up new interpretations with different perspectives and entrances and deepens the encounter with art.
The show lasts 30–45 minutes.
