Why does Skissernas Museum look the way it does, what are the thoughts behind the architecture? Join us on a guided tour and discover Skissernas Museum from an architectural historical perspective.
The museum consists of buildings from six different eras, linked together to form a unique whole. Together they tell the story of the museum's development – from the former teacher training college and Hans Westman's extensions to Johan Celsing's and Elding Oscarson's modern architecture. We also tell you about one or two works of art from the collection that are very much related to the architecture of the place.
The exhibition is part of a series of themed exhibitions where we highlight works from the Skissernas Museum's collection to talk about the ideas, processes and contexts behind them. Each exhibition opens up new interpretations with different perspectives and entrances and deepens the encounter with art.
The show lasts 30–45 minutes.
