Styva Linan made a grand entrance onto the Swedish music scene in the fall of 2022 with their acclaimed debut album Dallas. The equally skilled and dirty music depicting reality was received with open arms, which resulted in Musikhjälpen, Nyhetsmorgon, sold-out concerts and an excited Jan Gradvall who called them “The National Theatre’s grandchildren” shortly after the release. Their unique mix of indie, prog and folk rock met a nostalgic audience, but also became a composing part of the new wave of traditional bands that now seem to dominate the scene again.
The following year, the Gothenburgers released several crowd-pleasing singles, including Ut i Mörkret, which has remained their most-listened-to song ever since. In addition to a growing audience, their reputation as a sharp live act has taken them on a non-stop tour around the Nordic region. In the fall of 2024, the sextet released their second album, “Styva Linan.”
