Did students become more lonely during the pandemic? The quality of the education is important, but at least as important are the people you get to know during your studies. What did distance learning during the pandemic do for students' networking? How much more difficult was it for the students during the pandemic to get to know other students compared to before? And was it more difficult for certain groups? By using a longitudinal study that followed students on economics courses who started studying before and during the pandemic, it became possible to get an answer to these questions.
