The stones from medieval Lund

Welcome to the lunch tour!

Stone conservator Dag Mether gives us an overview of the stones from medieval Lund, which are exhibited around the Culture area. Through a short walk in the park, the stones and their history will be in focus.

We will move from the Reformation in Denmark in 1536 to Helgo Zettervall's restoration of the cathedral in the 1860s and end at the rebuilt Fideporten. What happened to the stones in the years after 1536? What did Helgo Zettervall's restoration of the cathedral mean for the cultural stone collection? What historical traces can be seen on the stones and what do these traces tell us today? These questions and more will be answered during this tour.

Included in the entrance fee, no advance booking. Gathering at the back of the White House (entrance hall). There is a sign indicating where the meeting point is.
