Join Skissernas Museum's curator Emil Nilsson on an in-depth tour of the exhibition. Coded threadsThe exhibition follows threads from the origins of digital, the web, into the digital realities of today and tomorrow. It brings together three artists who work with coded threads in their art in different ways. Amalie Smith (DK) shows a suggestive installation with digitally “dreamed” images. Philippa Caesar (PT) traces woven threads encoded with resistance in the waters of the historical slave trade and textile industry. The art group Metahavens (NL) jacquard-woven textile artworks function as fictional maps or systems of thought.
Thursday, January 29 at 5:30 p.m. The tour is included in the entrance fee.
