Sara Stridsberg is one of our foremost writers and playwrights. She made her debut with the novel Happy Sally, which was inspired by the life of swimmer Sally Bauer. She had her big breakthrough both in Sweden and internationally in 2006 with The Dream Faculty, which had the radical feminist Valerie Solanas as the main character. Today, Sara Stridsberg's novels have been translated into 25 different languages. Her plays have been performed on major stages both in Sweden and abroad.
