With Guran, Nyberg & Nord.
Now it's finished! The friends' tribute to their friend Björn Afzelius will continue to tour around our country in 2024.
Olle Nyberg, Mikael "Nord" Andersson and Göran "Guran" Blomgren - each with their own relationship to Björn Afzelius will treat the audience to an evening filled with flashbacks and magical interpretations of Björn's fantastic treasure trove of songs that have forever entered the Swedish music history.
Behind the initiative for "Songs to freedom" is Olle Nyberg, who produced several of Björn's records and played with him for 15 years.
"During 2015-16 we traveled with the tour "Tusen bitar" around the country. With over 20 concerned fans in the audience, the response was huge. "Songs to freedom" is a natural and obvious continuation. Together with the audience, we carry on the legacy of Björn in a time when his keen eye and warm human outlook are needed more than ever."
The program includes classics such as Song to freedom, Till min kära, Tusen bitar and Juanita - but also anecdotes and personal memories from all the years we spent by Björn's side, both on the road, on stage and in the recording studio.
Björn Afzelius was undoubtedly the most successful socially critical rock artist of his generation. He was the left-wing singer who became popular with songs that even the dance bands played. Two and a half million records sold, constant radio plays, and countless tours in Norway, Sweden and Denmark speak for themselves.
Mikael "Nord" Andersson (guitar and vocals) is one of the country's most famous guitarists and participated in the tour with the performance "Tusen bitar". Mikael "Nord" Andersson also has many years as a guitarist in Roxette and tours with Björn Skifs on his track record.
Göran "Guran" Blomgren (guitar and vocals) was tour manager and sound manager for Björn's live performances for just over 10 years.
Olle Nyberg (keyboard and vocals) was Björn's bandleader for more than 15 years and plays piano and organ on many of his records.
