Conversation: Close to the Wild Heart
Saturday, February 15, 15 p.m.
Art, psychology, and religion are different ways of approaching and interpreting the presence of the unknown. Each of these approaches can be understood as a symbolic language that has developed in response to man’s search for meaning and understanding of himself and his surroundings. An important element in all of these approaches is the desire to develop and change—something that also characterizes nature and biological life. The conversation takes as its starting point the exhibition Close to the wild heart to reflect together on the longing to establish spiritual, sensory and emotional contact with the world and transcend the boundaries of the individual self.

Each one of these practices can be understood as a different symbolic language developed in response to the human search for meaning and attempt at understanding herself and her surroundings. A central component of all of these paths is the desire for growth and transformation—something which is also inherent in nature and biological life.
