The collectors

Dense psychological drama based on the true story of the Collyer brothers' isolation from the outside world.

The Collectors by Lotta Lotass is a psychological drama based on a true story of two brothers who close all doors to the outside world.

They make the decision to never go out again as a reaction to the fact that the world is simply too hard to live in. A highly topical, beautiful and sad story, based on the fate of the Collyer brothers.

For 38 years, the brothers Homer and Langley lived completely isolated from the outside world in their apartment. In 1947, the dead were found among 180 tons of rubble. In Lotta Lotas's hands, the isolation and mania of the eccentric brothers have been given the shape of universal human questions about loneliness, belonging, love and loss. The play is told in two acts: First and last day in the house.
