This is how we can talk about the climate – without people stopping listening

Mona Lilja is a professor at Malmö University and researches how we can communicate the climate issue in a way that makes it urgent and motivates action.

Drawing on interviews with activists in Japan, Cambodia and France, she highlights key lessons about how we can talk about climate and other environmental issues in a time when facts are often questioned and misinformation is spread. The lecture focuses not only on what we say, but also on how we say it and how different ways of communicating can influence people's engagement and willingness to act.

Organized in collaboration with the Lund Society for Nature Conservation and the Sustainability Forum at Lund University as part of this autumn's lecture series on climate and environmental issues.
