Peder Stenberg, lead singer of the multiple Grammis and P3 Guld award-winning band Deportees, is releasing solo music for the first time, and in Swedish. To say that expectations for Peder Stenberg's upcoming debut album are high is anything but an exaggeration. After the highly acclaimed singles "Rädd för hundar" and "Känner ni igen er" comes "Inte som alla andra, precis som alla andra", where the Deportees singer is joined by Joakim Berg on vocals. It is now also clear that Peder Stenberg's first solo album will be released on September 19, and shortly thereafter a tour will begin that will land with us at Mejeriet on November 8!
Stenberg himself tells more about his thoughts on the new single "Not like everyone else, just like everyone else":
"People feel bad for a lot of reasons – bad experiences, bad genes, bad circumstances. What mine are has always been more unclear, which makes my occasionally failing mental health… inexcusable? Maybe it’s this lack of self-understanding that has made me maintain a fantasy about stay carefree. About having it in me to be “powerful as a superpower/ and almost never afraid”. It’s precisely this fantasy that “Not like everyone else, just like everyone else” is about. A song title that, when sung, is not sung by me but by Joakim Berg. A collaboration I’m very proud of.”
