In an art workshop in Stadsparken, children and young people were encouraged to use tape and bamboo sticks to construct something larger than themselves, inspired by the artist Ruben Wätte and the architect Buckminster Fuller . One of these structures, created by 10-year-old Aisha, could be carried from the park all the way to Se Din Konst. On the work, she has also written a message that reads: “Be creative! Try! Otherwise, nothing would have existed!”.
Now we are turning the exhibition hall into an open workshop for continued construction! The materials are barbecue sticks, fabric and tape, and there are no rules, we create for the sake of creation. Build together or alone, big or small, finished or half finished.
You can also continue weaving on a together-weaving that was started in a workshop with artist Frida Rådlund and craftsman Christian Svensson at the opening of the Young Craftsmen's Salon. The finished weaving will be hung at the closing of the Young Craftsmen's Salon on October 8th!
