Since her debut in 1973 with “Save Us from Love”, Suzanne Brøgger has been one of Denmark’s and the Nordic countries’ foremost authors and a feminist icon. She is known for her essays and autobiographical novels that explore love, sexuality and the difficulties of modern life together. She often questions conventional relationships, marriage and the nuclear family. Suzanne Brøgger’s most famous works include “Crème fraîche”, “Yes” and “Jadekatten”.
Her latest novel, “Mischling – Confessions of a Hairdresser,” was published in Danish this spring. It describes how a group of elderly friends from different continents retreat from a world that is collapsing around them, in order to try to repair it through conversations and stories.
Suzanne Brøgger talks with outspoken author Maria Maunsbach, who is currently working on her third novel, "A Magical Man."
Please note that the program takes place at Lund City Theatre! The conversation will also be streamed online.
