Perhaps Jean Sibelius and Edvard Grieg are the foremost Nordic composers. At least if you look at their popularity worldwide. Here they are united in a concert with two of the most played works of Nordic symphonic literature, Edvard Grieg's "Piano Concerto" and Jean Sibelius' "Symphony no. 5”.
The academic chapel plays, music director Patrik Andersson conducts and Malmö-based Jesper Olsson is at the piano. The concert is doubled in St. John's Church in Malmö, Sunday, May 5.
