About the program
The shooting star, trombonist Hjalmar Nordkvist, is visiting Klosterkyrkan with his Trio. The group has its musical roots in bebop and swing music and offers jazz songs by composers and musicians such as Duke Ellington, JJ Johnson and Charlie Parker.
About the participants
Trombonist Hjalmar Nordkvist has his roots in Malmö, but now lives in Stockholm where he studies jazz at the Royal Academy of Music. There he has also found his fellow musicians for the evening – pianist Lukas Hultman and bassist Martin Lundin – who together form the trio that will offer jazz music in the monastery church this summer evening.
