Now the Per Bäcker Trio is taking the music with the jazz blue thread on tour again.
It swings, it simmers, you are swept along and you slide into the Trion's world: here is the Swedish song in the form of Taube and Olle Adolphsson and perhaps refined by Peterson-Berger; here are the warm melodies of Benny Andersson, Paul McCartney, Sting, Stefan Nilsson and Joni Mitchell. You are sucked into the world of the national fiddler Mats Edén, which is mixed with liberated Argentine tango by Piazolla.
The arrangements are written directly for the Trio by master arrangers such as Olov Helge, Anders Ekdahl and Håkan Andersson, which naturally strengthens one's feeling of being part of something very special and original.
And the audience likes what they hear and returns, year after year.
