Midsummer celebration at Kulturen in Lund

Welcome to a traditional Midsummer celebration with dancing around the Midsummer pole! Buy coffee at Kulturens café or bring your own picnic.

Program for the day:

We put flowers on the Midsummer pole together.

At 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 PM
Singing, music and dancing around the Midsummer pole with Pontus Stenkvist and Per Ola Sandberg. Each dance session is approximately 30 minutes long.

Folk dance performance with the Lund Students' folk dance group.

Cafe or picnic

Kulturens café is open from 11:00 to 16:30 and serves light midsummer food, ice cream and coffee. You are also welcome to bring your own picnic and a blanket and sit down in the museum park.

Opening hours

The entire museum is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and all exhibitions and historic houses are open as usual.

A friendly reminder! Dogs are not allowed inside and smoking or grilling is not permitted on the museum grounds.

Note: Visitors aged 0–18 and members of Kulturen have free admission, and should not pre-purchase tickets online.

Kulturen membership costs 300 SEK.
Gold membership costs 600 SEK.
Student membership costs 200 SEK.

Membership is valid for 365 days from the day you become a member.

Pre-purchase tickets or buy tickets on site

You can buy an entrance ticket when you arrive at the museum or pre-purchase a ticket online. NOTE! Pre-purchase only for non-members. Visitors aged 0–18 and Kulturens members have free admission and should not buy a ticket online.

You must be able to show a valid student card at the entrance if you choose a discounted adult ticket. The cultural heritage card is not valid for advance purchases for events.

Please note that the right of cancellation does not apply to tickets to events. This means that we are unable to issue a refund if you regret your purchase or are unable to attend the event.

NOTE: Entry is via both the White House entrance building (southern area) and the Green Gate (northern area).
