Meric Algün. The patient is crying

Meric Algün. The patient is crying
Lund Art Gallery 14 September – 1 December 2024

The artist and writer Meriç Algün explores the outside world and her inner world through her writing, which becomes clear in her new solo exhibition The patient is crying at Lund Art Gallery. The exhibition revolves around Algün's literary works about the role of stepmother, mental health and care. Visitors will be able to assume different roles in the installation, which consists of the artist's full-scale apartment. At a time when women's reproductive rights and fertility issues are at the center of political and social debates, Meriç Algün's deeply personal work emerges as particularly relevant and incisive. The exhibition is complemented by talks and readings in collaboration with Lund's city library.

Public screenings of the exhibition Thursday at 15pm and Saturday at 13pm. Screening in English Sunday at 15pm.
