Martina Björk, church musician in the parish of St. Peter's Monastery, talks about the Monastery Church.
On the site where St. Peter's Monastery Church stands, people have gathered for prayer and worship since the mid-1100th century. For several centuries, life in and around the church was characterized by the monastic life of the Benedictine nuns. In connection with the Reformation, the monastery activities were discontinued, but the church was allowed to remain standing. Of Lund's 27 medieval churches, all were demolished except for the Abbey Church and the Cathedral.
