Kulturen and Old Lund presents Happy little 80s children, a musical comedy show which mixes stand up and singing.
Henrik Nilsson, the pianist Sasse von Vultée and the contrabassist and composer Sigrid Abrahamsson (currently as composer and bandmaster in the new Helikopter revue in Malmö) appear on stage. Through his reflections on his upbringing and the Swedish 80s, Henrik takes the audience back to his innocent and carefree growing up years. The humor is accurate, elegantly formulated and packaged in a stylish musical outfit. In addition to laughter, the show also contains splashes of seriousness and a lot of warmth. The performance will thus be a mixture of revue, stand-up and concert with jokes about, among other things, the science fiction feeling when dad showed slides, homemade Christmas presents and the yearning for cartoons. All music is originally composed and spans genres such as show, jazz and pop.
Henrik Nilsson is a comedian, singer and lyricist. Through clever observations and sharp texts, he creates musical stand-up comedy with satire, well-formulated nonsense and heart-breaking twists as a signature. The debut performance Pages of Lund had its premiere at Lund Comedy Festival 2022 and was then played to sold-out performances during the winter and spring of 2022-23. The album with the songs from the show came out in the summer of 2024.
