In a time of re-increasing polarization, increasing racism, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia, it is important that human forces come together and create hope and show solidarity. IM therefore traditionally organizes Lund Lyser together with Lund Municipality and the Church of Sweden. We gather at Lilla Fiskaregatan outside the Grand Hotel and stand with torches along the entire pedestrian street. We then go in a torchlight procession led by bagpipes to the cathedral where cathedral cook Lena Sjöstrand and IM general secretary Martin Nihlgård give speeches. We encourage and welcome everyone, regardless of religious, ethnic and sexual affiliation, to participate in this manifestation in the spirit of humanity.
