One of Lund's local choral gems is coming to the festival!
Bella Voce - Lund's student choirs have existed since 2000 and have since established themselves as one of Lund's most colorful choirs. For example, the choir often participates in the Walpurgis celebrations in Lund through the Mösspåtagningen and also holds acclaimed annual Lucia concerts at Kulturen. In recent years, Bella Voce has also established itself on the international choral scene through its participation in three of Interkultur's international choral competitions. Two of the times the choir traveled home with a gold diploma in their luggage, and most recently a silver one came home from Norrköping.
The choir is led by Sara Sandmark. She has a professional degree as a musical artist from Lund's Dance and Music High School. In the fall of 2021, Sara began her education as a music teacher specializing in choral singing and arranging/composition at the Academy of Music in Malmö, where she is now in her fourth year. Sara is passionate about choral singing in general and women's choirs specifically. Bella Voce – Lund's Student Choir has become the expression that symbolizes everything a women's choir can be for her.
