The Passion of St. Luke is a modern musical work composed by Rolf Martinsson with texts from the Gospel of Luke and newly written elements by Göran Greider. The work depicts the suffering and death of Jesus, where Martinsson's musical interpretation combines traditional and contemporary elements. Greider's texts complement the passion story with reflections on life's big questions such as freedom, threat, death, love, trust and hope. The work is written for two soloists (soprano and baritone), choir and a smaller ensemble consisting of flute, oboe, cello, organ and double bass and drums ad libitum.
