Literature days: Release of the journal Kritiker #68: The economy of attention

Released by the magazine Kritiker #68: The economy of attention

Kritiker #68 has invited 16 writers, poets and artists from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, the Faroe Islands and Italy to formulate their ideas around the concept of attention.

What happens if we stop reading and writing? How to train an attentive gaze? And what is it worth?

The economy of attention draws support from Anne Carson and Toril Moi's thoughts on language and attention. The number can be seen as a declaration of love for and an examination of the kind of attention that a certain form of reading (that of the literary text) suggests, and as an attempt to announce the value of other concentration-creating expressions. As a common thread through these two sometimes contradictory, sometimes compatible, themes constantly moves the question of the value of attention: what benefit one or the other form of attention can be said to serve, what it costs and who is interested (or forced) to pay for it the.

During the Literature Days in Lund, on October 20 and 21, a two-day release party with readings, panel discussions, lectures, music, art and performances will be organized at Lund's art gallery.
