If you feel like taking the legs on the neck (put the legs on the back), when you meet a Dane, this interactive lecture on the Danish language might be something for you. Here, assistant professor of Danish language and literature, Lone Koldtoft, gives you some good tips on how to handle a Danish speaker. Warm welcome!
Lone Koldtoft has been employed at Lund University since 2001. Among other things, she has researched Søren Kierkegaard and published two textbooks in Danish for Swedish speakers. The latest publication is Klogere på danceka sprog - a helping hand for Swedish speakers from 2024. She has inspired conversations and collaborations across the strait and, among other things, received the Allhemsstiftelsen's prize in memory of Einar Hansen for her work.
Prepare for the author conversation with the Danish poet Glenn Bech through an intensive course in Danish! In one hour, Lene Koldtoft teaches you more about the Danish language than you thought possible.
The language course is connected to the Nordic Light series, where some of the Nordic countries' most exciting authors visit the library. Nordic Light is a collaboration between the library and cultural activities in Lund Municipality and the Nordic Association. Read more at folkbiblioteken.lund.se/nordisktljus.
