From March 8-21, IM (Individual Human Help) is organizing an exhibition at Lund City Library. The exhibition is about IM's work to empower women through crafts and entrepreneurship, from the past to the present. The exhibition opens on March 8.

Doctoral student Maria Néo from the University of Porto talks about her research on Helena Cardoso, a pioneer in traditional crafts in Portugal, who collaborated with Individual Human Support (IM) for many years. The lecture is in English.
12.45 Humanitarian crafts for women
Historian Maria Småberg talks about Individual Human Help (IM) and its work supporting vulnerable women in northern Greece during the 1960s–1980s. IM started a weaving center as an aid to self-help and contributed to women's liberation both in Greece and in Sweden. There were also challenges that IM navigated, such as political unrest and military dictatorship, internal conflicts, the economic market and gender structures in society.
