The largest archaeological survey in Lund in decades will begin in the spring of 2025. Parts of the Grynmalaren neighborhood located at Lilla Tvärgatan and Grynmalaregatan will be excavated.
A new residential building is to be built, and therefore an archaeological excavation will be carried out to investigate the site and map the traces of the people who lived here in the Middle Ages. Previous investigations in the vicinity of the Grynmalaren neighborhood have revealed building remains and objects from the 1000th century, close to the founding of the city of Lund.
