6–8 September cultural heritage themed days are celebrated throughout Sweden. Cultural Heritage Day is the National Antiquities Authority's annual themed day which should contribute to creating understanding, interest and commitment to cultural heritage.
In the wake of the survivors is a hiking trail that takes you to seven places in Lund. There you can listen to short stories about some of the people who came here as a result of the Nazi persecution during the Second World War. In 1943, Danish Jews sought refuge here from occupied Denmark, and in 1945, thousands of freed prisoners came from concentration camps in Europe.
Today you can join museum educator Annika Mandahl on a hike to three of the seven places that are linked to In the wake of the survivors. You will hear about the unique material that the hike has had as a starting point. Before or after the screening, you can visit Kulturens' permanent exhibition To survive – Voices from Ravensbrück, where parts of the material are exhibited.
