The sun shines the most in May
Skanderborg Girls' Choir consists of 30 young singers aged 17-21 and is based at Skanderborg Gymnasium. The choir was founded in 2001 by Alice Vestergaard, who still leads the choir - now in collaboration with Freja Nørager.
The choir's repertoire ranges widely from pop to classical pieces, from world music from near and far to Danish songs. Over the years, the choir has participated in numerous festivals and competitions around the world with great results and places great emphasis on intercultural collaborations with other choirs.
