Art, conflict and infringement: law students' final presentations

How can art contribute to law education? Over the past ten weeks, students on the course have Conflict and intellectual property infringement approached legal issues through screenings, workshops and case studies based on artworks from the museum's collections. Welcome to their final presentations.

The presentation is part of the museum's work with object-based learning (OBL), a higher education teaching method that uses physical objects – in our case art – to raise subject-relevant questions and stimulate deep learning. The method is well-established in research and contributes to the development of critical thinking and communication skills. By using the museum's collection as a teaching resource, students and teachers can explore theories and ideas through concrete objects, which leads to deeper and more engaging learning. At Skissernas Museum, part of Lund University, the method is used as an interdisciplinary resource in education in areas such as medicine, natural sciences, humanities and law.
