The club choir and Kaah to the Dairy 29/5!
In May you will have the chance to see a unique collaboration between soul artist Kaah and Malmö's pride, Klubbkören. A packed evening of funk and dance!
Last summer, Kaah made an equally brief but acclaimed appearance at the Club Choir's gig at the Parkteatern in Stockholm. Now, the Club Choir and Sweden's Prince are taking their collaboration a step further and offering a three-hour dance and song party in the spirit of febrile funk and dance.
The Club Choir transforms the Dairy into a dance floor, where the choir with a bunch of fantastic soloists sing close to the audience. Erik Hjärpe (Damn!) has arranged Kaah's fat funk music for the Club Choir and together with Emil Sjunnesson (percussion) and Bo Raymond (bass) they perform these gems, but also a string of immortal funky music. So lace up your dancing shoes and come down for a choir concert on the next level! Up close, sweaty and uplifting. And a Kaah concert in a whole new way.
The evening ends with a clubbing session in the café where BLNDNS (Sebastian Sordez Chirco and Johanna J-OL Olofsson) DJ.

Kaah, or Peter Alexandersson as he is actually called, has a solid track record of keeping funk alive. He is perhaps best known for his hit Dom tittar när jag dancear, but his catalogue is filled with a series of danceable masterpieces and soft soul ballads. Kaah's lyrics depict the present and range from injustice and racism to love and gender identity. His band recently achieved success as the TV show På Spårets husband.
Kaah's incomparable soul voice and swinging stage style have made him one of Sweden's leading soul artists, and a role model for many. His debut album Kaahlender was released in 1998, and last year he released his tenth full-length Färger and played several acclaimed gigs around the country.
