About the program
Through works from the Düben Collection, this Klosterklang invites you on a lively journey of discovery into the 1600th-century Northern European sound world. Continental trio sonatas by Schmelzer and Weiss meet newly discovered pieces by the Englishman George Hudson and the court violist Ambrosius Scherle. Experience music that reflects the changing influences that shaped Sweden's vibrant musical life during the great power era.

Artist biography
Ensemble Sorgenfri is a newly formed, Malmö-based trio. With expressive interplay and historical sounds, they open a window onto a bygone era and let both well-known and forgotten voices resound anew.

About the concert series:
The Klosterklang concert series is organized by the Sankt Peters Kloster parish in collaboration with Sensus. The Klosterklang concert series started in January 2024.
