About the program:
The duo Anna-Karin Andersson, trumpet and Ulrich Staerk, piano will perform a mix of classical composers to beautiful melodies from Piazzolla and Gershwin. They combine their talents for an exciting musical experience and have previously performed together on various stages in both Sweden and Denmark.
Artist Biographies:
Trumpeter Anna-Karin Andersson is a frequently hired musician in chamber music contexts. In 2023 she was on the Nordic tour with the Stockholm Concert Orchestra and Andrea Bocelli. Her passion and love for music has taken her all the way to Argentina where she was employed as a trumpeter in the Orquesta Sinfonica de Salta for 10 years.
Pianist Ulrich Staerk belongs to the elite of Danish and Scandinavian pianists, with around 120 concerts a year around the world. He has performed at Carnegie Hall and has also performed on many of the world's major stages, including Paris, Milan, Vienna, Tokyo and Berlin. Ulrich has appeared as a soloist with virtually all Danish symphony orchestras.
About the concert series:
The Klosterklang concert series is organized by the Sankt Peters Kloster parish in collaboration with Sensus. The Klosterklang concert series started in January 2024. One Friday a month, you are invited to a concert to end the work week and start the weekend with a moment of sonorous music under the inviting vaults of the Klosterkyrkan.
