We would like to remind you that you cannot reserve a seat for a relative, but everyone who wants to go must be physically present.
About the program
This year marks the 500th anniversary of the birth of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina. At the concert on April 11, we will hear his Missa Brevis and the motet Cantantibus Organis, which belongs to Saint Cecilia's day. We will also hear Gregorian chants that belong to Saint Cecilia.
About participants
The choir Collegium Sanctæ Ceciliæ was formed in 2018 on the initiative of Hampus Söndrebo and Jesper Glans, church musicians in the Church of Sweden. The ensemble mainly sings sacred choral music from the Renaissance and Gregorian chant in Swedish, but occasionally also includes new and newly written works in the repertoire.
