Last year, Klas Östergren celebrated both his 70th birthday and 50 years as a writer. He debuted in 1975 with Attila and has since written around twenty novels, the most famous of which, Gentlemen, was his public breakthrough and is considered a modern Swedish classic. He was elected to the Swedish Academy in 2014 and requested his resignation in 2018.
Klas Östergren's latest novel, Klenoden, is a highly topical story that deals with, among other things, NATO membership and the forgotten history of the rise and fall of the Swedish peace movement.
Klas Östergren talks with the author Amanda Svensson. Free admission! It is not possible to reserve a seat in advance. There are 120 seats available.
