If 2025 had a soundtrack, it would be spelled “Bara Bada Sauna”.
What started as a sauna-scented, wink-in-the-eye tribute to Nordic culture exploded into a full-blown pop phenomenon. “Bara Bada Bastu” shot straight to #1 on Spotify in both Sweden and Finland and topped charts across the Nordics and Baltics – before taking the leap into the world with a rocket launch on Spotify Global and #1 on Viral 50 Global. And like extra firewood in an already steaming hot sauna, the song was nominated for a Grammy.
Behind the success of KAJ is the trio Kevin Holmström, Axel Åhman and Jakob Norrgård – raised in Vörå in Finland, where it all began back in 2009. With witty lyrics, nostalgic flirtations and a warm love for the Finnish-Swedish culture, they built their own musical world early on based on equal parts Nordic folk melodies, modern pop and stage humor. What was local quickly became national. And then international.
The journey has been marked by sold-out tours, albums and a historic victory in Melodifestivalen 2025, where KAJ became the first Finnish-Swedish act to represent Sweden in Eurovision.
Now a new Swedish tour awaits. And KAJ is not going to do anything half-hearted. Expect sing-alongs that will lift the roof, choreographies you didn't know you could do, sauna heat in the November darkness and a show where humor goes hand in hand with a sense of hit.
