Welcome to viewing!
It is Christmas Eve 1849 at the Thomander family. The priest and professor Johan Henrik and his wife Emilie live here, with their daughters Ida, Emma, Fredrika and foster daughter Natalia. This year old grandmothers are also celebrating with them. Aladåb, lutefish, fried goose with prune cream, boiled ham with red cabbage are served, and for dessert there will be rice porridge and sugar strudels.
Educator Olle Ekström gives us an insight into how Christmas was celebrated in the Thomander home.
