You've never heard a voice like Miriam Mandipira. And even though she absolutely floors the audience with her power and presence, she humbly doesn't take the credit herself. For Miriam and her Soul Family, music is about more than notes and lyrics – it's pure magic. It's faith. It's emotion. You can experience all of this live – and on the new album NDIWE.
Miriam has been singing for as long as she can remember. As a child, she was glued to the radio, and after a teacher asked her to sing a song in the classroom one day… well, the rest is history. From Africa to Denmark, from the Book Café in Harare to the Mojo Blues Bar and the country's biggest stages. From DR's Big Band to the Royal Theatre. Music is life – and Miriam is the music.
“But it’s not about me when I sing,” says Miriam. “I’m just the instrument. When I’m standing there with my band, I’m singing from a place that’s not governed by rules or technique – but by emotion.”
On the album NDIWE – which means “you are the chosen one of my heart” – Miriam shows a new side as a songwriter, together with her Soul Family. The message is clear: love. Of course. Above all.
And when Miriam & The Soul Family take the stage, it's impossible not to be swept away. It's close, it's warm, it's swinging – and it feels right into the heart.
INFO BOOKING & TICKETS:
· Choose tickets for the seating you wish to attend and how many of you are, please make a combined purchase for your entire party. This makes it easier for us to place you. If you cannot choose your desired time, that time is fully booked. Choose an early seating if you want a chance at the best tables 🙂
· Even if it is fully booked, it might be an idea to stop by as we often have a few places for drop-in.
· Have the ticket printed or in your mobile phone and show the butler.
· If you are a large group (more than 6 people), it may happen that you are divided into several tables. If you are more than 8 people, you make two bookings. If you book a single seat, it may happen that you get to sit together with another party.
· Your booking will be released if you are late (30 minutes). If you notice that you are about to arrive late for your booking, please email bokabord@kulturmejeriet.se or call 046-131347 (response as time permits)
